About David Kehrli
In 1952, as a curious ten year old, you would find me experimenting in my dad's darkroom with his enlarger. In 1958 I purchased a used 3f Leica and began taking photos of stock car races and school dances. In 2005 while living in California I was encouraged to get involved in watercolor painting by an art instructor. In 2005 I sold my Leica and now use a Canon digital camera. For the past nearly ten years I have displayed my art in both the Benson Art Gallery and Art on Mountain in Fort Collins, Colorado. Several of my pieces have won ribbons in local shows and I have had art accepted in national shows, most recently 2012 with the "Boxed In" piece. I have studied under several artists in California and Colorado. I have sold pieces to collectors from the East Coast to the West Coast. I sell both framed and matted pieces. Most recently I paint scenes from the western Colorado, around Montrose. I have used water collected directly from the Poudre River rather than tap water. Please contact me at d_kehrli@yahoo.com or through my web site at www.davidswatercolors.com. I am also on Facebook and several of my favorite pieces can be seen there.
